The highly awaited “Play for Charity football with Alex Muhangi” event is scheduled to take place this Sunday, January 11th, 2026, at the KCCA Phillip Omondi Stadium in Kampala.
16 teams will battle out with a key objective of helping hand to 2 charity homes.
The winner from the day-long gala will receive 2 million, and the runners-up will receive 1 million.
Alex Muhangi, Comedy Store CEO revealed, “Am Calling all Ugandans! Let’s come together to make a difference in our community. We’re organizing a clothing drive to benefit local charity homes.
“Please bring any gently used or new shoes, plates, cups, cash, posho, rice, sugar or just contribute anything, household items you no longer need, and we’ll ensure they’re distributed to those who need them most. Let’s spread kindness and compassion throughout our community. Together, we can make a positive impact in 2026!” he adds.
As a renowned comedian and host of Comedy Store Uganda, Muhangi has been involved in various projects and collaborations.
