The consultancy has reached its finalization phase and the consultant submitted the draft policy document (deliverable 9) to the Ministry of Water and Environment for approval.

A stakeholder workshop was convened  recently  at the Silver Springs Hotel to review and validate the proposed policies.

Participants including representatives from from Academia, the Hydrogeological Association of Uganda, Academic and District Local Governments, the Ministry of Energy, the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, and the Ministry of Water and Environment’s regional and central offices, as well as the Consultant Team, Earth Link and Advanced Resources Development (ELARD) attended the meeting.

Furthermore, on the 27th and 28th November, the contract management team and the consultant’s team reviewed the previous deliverable 6 as well as 8 and 9 to ensure that the content was appropriately contextualized to inform the final policy document.
