It’s now official that the Uganda In-flight SACCO is grounded after some members drained its money coffers to the dogs.
In a special report we have discovered that over seventy members of the defunct airport workers’ credit facility are on the run after failing to clear their outstanding arrears amounting to over one million shillings(shs100M).
During the 18th annual general meeting, the association chairman Kabali Ali revealed that over seventy seven members including Basesagwaka consultancy firm drained the credit facility to shut all its doors from business.
A report has been compiled with all members that walked away with the SACCO funds and gone missing.
In the list includes Parmu Robert with shs7,461,600/=, Tukesiga George shs2,778,000/=,Tushe Teddy shs1,672,450/ =, Kabajulize Janet shs649,900/=, Opio Felix shs1,896,360/=, Nambuya Victoria shs1,445,800/=, Namaganda Suzan shs853,230/=, Nakyazze Jane shs 5,833,356/=, Atuku Rebecca shs1,911,962/=, Namawejje Sylivia shs3,686,700/=, Ssebaduka Betty shs438,000/=, Bukirwa Loy shs11,372,800/=, Ssenyonga Majorie shs1,770402/=,Namunoga Jane shs886,250/= ,Muhanuzi Rhodah shs1,966,140/= Wakusula Brenda shs1,446,700/=,Ejang Gloria shs284,224/=,Kajubi Mattias shs1,950,000/=,Kakuuku Andrew shs13,077,630/=,Tayebwa Alex shs1,913420/=,Nsubuga Peter shs1,786157/=,Matovu Paul shs711,021/=,Agaba Felix shs1,185,300/=, Kintu Steven shs3,721,906/=,Mutamba Nicholas shs722,800/=,Musisi Derrick shs656,905/= and Basesagwaka consultants shs3,311,080/= plus others have gone missing.
The named defaulters acquired several different loans from the members’ credit organization and arrogantly refused to clear off their names from bad debts , said 2020report.
The report also highlighted how former chairman Asan Assimwe vanished with all the SACCO funds amounting to the sh 236,817549/=.
The credit facility was forced to sale -off their SACCO land at shs 150,000,000/= to sort out some choking bills including members.
