Ugandan presidential aspirant, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu is today expected to rally in Entebbe constituency with a showdown but the police and other security agencies have been put on litmus test over his campaign program today, 23rd Dec 2025.
By last evening, the police and other security organs where still undecided on the venues to used by the presidential aspirant, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu also leader of Opposition in the country(Uganda).
We have highly established that Bobby wine’s campaign organizers have been running up and down for the last couple of weeks to different offices over their candidate’s campaign program in Entebbe constituency.
In a letter dated, 22sd /Dec 25, Sheikh Twesigye Rajab ‘revoked’ the acceptance to use Entebbe Muslim ground on the last die-ing minutes of the campaign program schedule.
In the letter addressed to the Entebbe aspiring parliamentarian, Joyce Namuli Nabatta reads, “Reference is made to my earlier acceptance letter dated 19th Dec 2025 where I offered the Muslim grounds for the NUP presidential rally for the 23rd Dec 2025”, I revoke the acceptance letter I erroneously signed without following the Uganda Muslem Supreme Council rules and regulations, reads letter.
“Having consulted the District Muslim leadership, I would therefore like to inform you that your current booking has been cancelled and will not be available for the said political rally on the date previously agreed”, reads letter.
Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu’s campaign programs has been disrupted by the police and security agencies including the Tanda play ground campaign schedule that has been choked down on the last die-ing minutes, says our police underdogs.
In a letter dated 20th Dec 2025 and signed by Yusufu Sulaiman Chippo, “the decision to use the Tanda community playground has been revoked over security threats with court issues”, reads letter.
In related development also the Busiro NRM party chairman, Byarugaba Tom has fired back and advised several offices not to give, Mr Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu room for campaigning and copied the letter to different offices.
Meanwhile the former Div ‘B’ chairman, Richard Ssekyondo is aspiring for the Entebbe mayoral seat and outgoing councilor Arafat Ssekawooya Katooto for Div ‘A’ Chairmanship as John Paul Mugabi Socrates is contesting for the Div ‘B’ chairmanship. (Watch this space)
