Over one hundred and fifty members have been pinned in a report over defaulting a leading financial institution in Entebbe municipality.
This list of defaulters was revealed in a report presented by the Windsor SACCO board chairman, Othieno Peter at this year’s 25th annual general meeting.
These defaulters have gone missing and on the run after acquiring several loans from the money leading institution in Entebbe.
The report indicates that up now, most members have not taken due diligence to clear off their choking loans, which has affected the SACCO day today affairs, said report.
Our major challenge are the defaulters who have disappeared, and they can’t be traced, and they have even changed their phone numbers, said Board chairman’s report 2024.
Up to now, most members don’t want to open up when requesting for loans and keep lying about their financial status plus collaterals on addition to pledging family securities without informing their spouses plus concerned people, revealed report.
Former loans officer George Murungi is on the running after conning the financial credit association, revealed report by board chairman Othieno Peter.
Memorial condolence to the late founding chairperson, John Whyte Baleke who passed on the 23rd February2025 that started the Windsor Employees Co-operative Savings and Credit Society Ltd with a group of members in 1997 including Othieno Peter, Mulabbi Samson, Oluk Martin(RIP), Mwambu Sam, Namaye Carlo (RIP), Tamale John(RIP), Wenwa Sam,Kiwanuka Fred, Kubarigira John and Mutumba Jalia.
The credit money facility has over 3000 members with a share capital of shs635,106,963/= and savings disposal of shs2,243,130,377= as of 22nd/March/2024, revealed report.
