Kirlesian family founders mark four decades of marriage, family, faith & legacy in Lwanyi,Masaka.
History, faith, family and thanksgiving came together in Lwanyi, Masaka City, on Saturday, 5th September 2026, as Mr. Kisekka Charles Mawanda and Mrs. Resty Kisekka Nakayiza, the founders of the Kirlesian Family of Lwanyi, celebrated 42 years of marriage.
The colorful celebration brought together more than 500 relatives, friends, family associates, former colleagues and well-wishers to honour a marriage that has grown into a multi generational family legacy.
For 42 years, the couple has walked together through the different seasons of life, building a family whose story is now being carried forward by their children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law.
The anniversary was not merely a celebration of the couple’s wedding journey; it was a thanksgiving for the family and legacy that their union has produced.
Over the 42 years, God has blessed Charles and Resty with children and grandchildren, creating a large family network that continues to grow.
Among those celebrating the couple were their children, including Prince Mawanda Don Edwarles of the Edwarlesian Family, Don Lize, Don Robina Diana, Don Stive, Don Sanyu, Don Cintana and Don Angela, together with their grandchildren, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law.
The gathering provided an opportunity for different generations of the Kirlesian family to celebrate their heritage and acknowledge the contribution of the founding couple to the family’s identity and unity.
The anniversary was graced by Hon. Nantongo Fortunate Rose, Woman Member of Parliament for Kyotera District, who attended as the Special Guest of Honour.
