SchoolPay Uganda is celebrating a decade of transforming the education sector through innovative digital payment and school management solutions that have simplified school fees collection and administration across the country.
Founded with the vision of eliminating the challenges associated with traditional school fees payments, SchoolPay has grown into one of Uganda’s leading education technology platforms.
Over the past ten years, the platform has helped millions of parents, students, and schools transition from cash-based transactions and long bank queues to seamless digital payments.
What started as a solution to simplify school fees payments has evolved into a comprehensive education ecosystem.
Today, SchoolPay offers digital payment services, school management systems (ERP), school financing solutions, SchoolPay Savings, and the S-Wallet digital pocket money platform, providing greater convenience and financial inclusion for schools and families.
According to SchoolPay, the platform currently serves more than 15,000 schools and processes a significant share of private-sector tuition payments in Uganda, reflecting its impact on the country’s education landscape.
Over the years, SchoolPay has partnered with banks, telecom companies, and other financial institutions to expand access to digital education services.
Its innovations have enabled real-time payment tracking, automated reconciliation, improved financial transparency, and reduced the risks associated with handling cash.
As it marks its 10th anniversary, SchoolPay continues to invest in new technologies and solutions aimed at improving educational outcomes and financial accessibility.
Recent initiatives, including SchoolPay Savings and digital lending solutions for schools, demonstrate the company’s commitment to supporting both parents and educational institutions beyond payments.
