Ugandan midfielder Allan Okello delivered another impressive individual performance, registering two assists for Young Africans (Yanga) in their CRDB Bank Federation Cup semi-final clash against Azam FC.
Okello was at the heart of Yanga’s attacking play, creating both goals as the Tanzanian giants fought hard in a thrilling encounter. However, his contributions were not enough to prevent Yanga from suffering a narrow 3-2 defeat, a result that ended their hopes of reaching the final.

The former Uganda Premier League star once again showcased his creativity and vision, continuing the excellent form he has displayed since joining Yanga earlier this year. His two assists highlighted his growing influence within the squad and underlined why he remains one of East Africa’s most exciting midfield talents.
Despite the disappointment of elimination, Okello’s performance was one of the positives for Yanga, as he continued to contribute decisively in the final third. His ability to unlock defenses and create scoring opportunities has become a key asset for the club throughout the season.
The defeat sees Azam advance to the CRDB Bank Federation Cup final, while Yanga will now shift their focus to their remaining domestic commitments. For Okello, the match further reinforced his importance to the team as he continues to enjoy an outstanding campaign in Tanzania.
