New Busiro South Member of parliament, Kenan Opio has started his constituency work after taking oath to serve the electorates after the down fall of Bobby wine’s man also NUP fire fox, Charles Matovu.
The National Resistance Movement party fronted, Kenan Opio in the recent parliamentary race for the 2026/2031 and floored opposition in the whole constituency.
Kenan will be looked at in the 12th parliament with lots of paining issues including revamping public schools, water springs, electricity and human welfare, said insider.Kenan is walking village to parish & getting reports about government funded projects & programs under way including Emyooga plus PDM.
During the meeting on Friday at the Millennium Green Gardens, Kenan met over twenty NRM officials from different areas & the Kasanje town council authourities.
He revealed that several government programs have been designed to end poverty by 2040 and young people are targeted in this new campaign.
When young people participate actively in these programs, they can transform their lives and also contribute to the development of our communities,” he added
Opio also emphasised the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development and warned young people on waiting for job opportunities to come their way.
The meeting attracted community leaders to discuss the challenges affecting young people including unemployment and limited access to capital.
Kenan Opio was recently elected Member of Parliament for Busiro South after defeating several contenders, including incumbent Charles Matovu and outgoing Wakiso District chairperson Matia Lwanga Bwanika.
