TECNO has continued to make a significant impact at the on-going 2024 CAF TotalEnergies CHAN matches at the Mandela National Stadium, Kampala.

Having grabbed all the headlines during the South Africa and Algeria match, as well as the Uganda Cranes and Guinea encounter, the fans branded in TECNO colours once again outshone on yet another match day.

They attended the South Africa’s 2-1 win over Guinea and Uganda’s 2-0 win over Niger on Monday, 11th July.

Uganda Cranes’ lead cheer leader Abdallah Byaruhanga led the painted crop of fans.

Byaruhanga painted TECNO his fat belly which excited many fans and he diverted the attention for many.

He was joined by a group of other painted fans chanting songs of praise, victory with wild shouting and constant clapping.

It was a party time by close of business when Uganda Cranes smiled to victory 2-0 courtesy of Allan Okello’s rebounding header off a missed penalty and the second goal by Joel Sserungoji.

The celebrations continue on Monday, 18th August 2025 as Uganda Cranes host South Africa in a make-or-break contest in group C.

With 6 points from three matches, Uganda Cranes find themselves in a must-win situation against South Africa to have realistic chances of progression to the knock-out stage for the very first time.

For starters, in June 2025, TECNO concluded an agreement making TECNO the Official Global Partner of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027 in East Africa.
