President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is profiling and making note of success stories about the Parish Development Models including Emyooga in Wakiso District with a population of about 3.4 million people.
According to the 2024 Census, the district stretches to four municipalities including Entebbe, Nansana, Kira, Makindye-Ssabagabo alongside vast rural communities.
With Shs 30.7 billion already disbursed to 31,952 households under the PDM, the district represents an opportunity for the government’s flagship wealth creation initiative, said report
In Entebbe municipality, Councilor Harriet Nantalima made a shocking report to President Museveni on Wednesday at Kiwafu playground in Entebbe.
Nantalima revealed that over 30 Emyooga Saccos have benefited from the government financed projects.
The shocking report was presented before the President Museveni as gospel truth at a color full ceremony with NRM party supporters including top local leaders.
The Entebbe Div ‘B’ Boda Boda Chairperson Katunguka revealed to the President that he acquired shs2M from the Emyooga Sacco coffers and now owns three boda bodas/motor bikes.
Katunguka started saving over ten thousand shillings(shs10,000) daily and now happily smiling to the bank.
Nantalima also Entebbe Municipal Development Forum vice person acquired a short loan from the Emyoogas and now earn big from her Hardware business in the Kitooro trading center.
President Museveni visited one Princilla Mwirumbi at the Kitooro taxi park running a modern saloon funded by Emyooga.
“In the coming general election, please elect Members of Parliament who demand what belongs to you. I’m in government, but I’m far from you. You need an MP who follows up on the money we send to help you,” President Museveni emphasized.

According to the President, such leaders align with and actively support government development agendas.
President M7 was welcomed to Entebbe municipality by several NRM party supporters and political leaders including, the Mayor Fabrice Brad Rulinda plus others.
The president arrived at around 5pm after long day of waiting from school students to promising politicians.
The president promised to settle the choking dust wrangle in the Entebbe transport network plus the Kitooro taxi park mess.
